WEEK 12

Today we walked to Shoghi town which is a 10 mins walk from Veer Garh. Oh yeah! Do you know that we are the only people living at the guesthouse! Wow! Anyway, we ate at a restaurant where we ate Chapatti and Aloo Gobi (Potato and Cauliflower). Mum and dad loved the coffee at the shop opposite. We explored, like usual. Went to the train station and walked alot until we came back to rest. In the homestay, we went upstairs to play billiard! In the 1st round, mum won. In the 2nd round, dad won. I'll win tomorrow! Nothing will stop me! And it's because tomorrow is the last day we will be at Veer Garh. (;_;) We actually wanted togo to the spa & sauna, but found out that the cost for 30 mins is Rs 500! Plus there is no hot water, only cold! Can you believe it!?!? So we played billiard which was free. We ate maggie noodles for dinner, it was DELICIOUS! I discovered that the tv in our room had the channel I LOVED! *#*ANIMAX!*#* (>3<) Yahoo! I could watch Anime and listen to Anime songs on that channel! Go ANIME & ANIMAX!!! I am a really Really REALLY BIG BIG BIG fan of you!!! (>3<) ANIME & ANIMAX! GO GO GO! My name is Robyn Yong and I LOVE YA!!!

Today we were to go recci the Shimla bus station, so that the next day when we had to take the bus, it won't be so confusing. We wanted to take the toy train to Shimla, but it was going to be very late, so we took a bus. We climbed up a steep market! Very steep! The steepness and altitude made us pant! (*0*) The people here must have very good stamina, or there must be an escalator or lift! (-_-*) We bought the things we needed and went to eat our lunch. We took the bus back to Shoghi and met our new neighbor! A family of 3! Atanu, Ananya and Aranya! I played billiard with Aranya who is quite competitive and mum was the judge! It was fun! Ps. Aranya is a boy. (^_^)

We took a car from Veer Garh to Shoghi and ate breakfast there. Then, took a bus from Shoghi to Shimla, another bus from Shimla to Mandi. Another bus from Mandi to Aut. And finally a car from Aut to the beautiful Tirthview Homestay in Tirthan Valley. Phew! So tiring! Tirthview is very cold! The highest temperature is only.... Er... Sorry, I forgot, I think it's either 21 deg C or 28 deg C. The Tirthan river is so beautiful! From our homestay we can hear the beautiful noise of the waves. Hahaha! I think it must be really cold! And guess what?!? We are the first visitors of the homestay! (^_^)

We met uncle Dishu today, he is the younger brother of uncle Ashish. Surprise! He's getting married soon! He brought us around the beautiful valley with his car and saw lots of his classmates! It's Classmate Day! Hahaha! (^_^) Shopkeeper - classmate, camp guide - classmate, friends - classmate, went to friends' house, friends sister - classmate! Wowowowow! Everyone is his classmate! We ate a delicious lunch at Icy Spicy restuarant. The cook/boss wants to migrate to Singapore! What a surprise! We went up and down and up and down the mountains and when it was 7.30pm, we stopped by Chinese Dish restaurant and ate Momo and drank hot soup! Delicious! But it was really spicy! Nice but Spicy! Then we ate dinner at uncle Dishu's house and aunty Dolma, uncle Ashish's wife, cooked dinner for us! Delicious! Gd nite! (~_~)Zzzzz......

Good morning! Today we stayed at the homestay in the morning. Dad did his computer work and read Agatha Christie. I was doing my homework and also reading Agatha Christie. Mum was.... um... I dunno? :p But! I'm happy (^_^)and sad (;_;) to say that I have finished reading the whole book of Agatha Christie and it's really amazingly awesome! We went down to the Tirthan river and waded in the cold Cold COLD water! We saw some people releasing about 100+ baby trout fishes into the river. Some got stuck in a small pool, so I helped to catch it and throw it back to the main flowing river. Don't know whether it's correct, but it's my common sense. The water was icy cold!!! OMG! My hands and feet would have been frozen solid! alot of white waters too. Haha! Nice one! Frozen feet! Bye!

We set off on the Hippo Fall trail which is 8km long! We trekked up and down and up and down! Very Very VERY tiring! But fun. The trail was called Hippo Fall because at the end off the trail, you can see a big waterfall and near it is a big rock shaped somewhat like a hippopotamus. Interesting! We stayed overnight in a tent at the campsite. There were alot Alot ALOT of flies! Everywhere! The food was made by uncle Murali, our guide, was nice. At night, we had a really Really REALLY big campfire! Dad and me experimented on taking 'Charlie Lim' photographs and tried to take star trails! I did something wrong accidentally, but the photo turned out nicer than ever! ('Charlie Lim' photographs are taken in the dark and he uses a torchlight and shines it artistically on the object. Nice photographs!) I didn't really have a good sleep, the sleeping bag has too little space! Too bad! Good nitey!

Good morning! The water in the stream was really cold! We had to brush our teeth and wash our face in it! The campfire we made last night was sooo big, that it lasted until morning! I heated my frozen hands with the fire and felt much better. I went with dad to get water from the big waterfall. It was really cold! Ahh! I'm frozen! Jkjk. It was really dad that had to get water. Poor dad, it was really cold! We headed back to the base camp and after we finished eating our lunch, it rained! And you know whats' so exciting about it? There were HAILSTONES!!! OMG! My first time in my life! But the hailstones were small, only 1cm in diameter. The hailstones were small ice balls. I stood under the rain and one hit my hand. Ouch! Pain, man! Well, lucky it wasn't 5cm in diameter! Well I had sore throat, so good nite! (+_+)
